Pudsey Bear & BBC visit – 17th October

This week the long-awaited visit from Pudsey (& BBC film crew) took place! The children (and staff) came to school in their PJs and slippers and we started the morning with ‘teddyrobics’ on the playground led by the fantastic Sue Pugh (RAF Exercise Rehab Instructor & PT Instructor) and then Pudsey arrived and joined in with the dancing and exercise. Pudsey then went to say hello (with his hands because bears can’t talk) to the Early Years 0-3 Setting and then came and joined one of our bear related bedtime stories. Some of the children were also interviewed by the BBC crew to find out more about what we as a school have done to help raise funds for Children in Need. We then finished our morning with a cake sale/tuck shop to raise even more funds. In total we raised over 300 EUR and had a fantastic day. We can now tune in on the Children in Need day and see if we make the TV!!! A massive thank you to everyone who helped organise and run today as well as the volunteer cake bakers – they were delicious – Mr Campbell had 5!
