Computing & Technology

At Ayios Nikolaos Primary School the children have superb access to a range of software and hardware technology including a main computer suite, two additional smaller computing suites for KS2 as well as banks of Ipads for all ages.  The teaching of computing skills is supported by the Switched on to Computing (Rising Stars) curriculum resources and opportunities to develop or apply these skills in other lessons is actively encouraged by staff.  Every class, as well as additional learning areas, have interactive whiteboards that can be adjusted easily for children and adults to use.

E-safety is very important to us and children are taught from a young age about how to use technology, including the internet, safely. E-safety is built into our teaching sessions and is promoted by all members of staff.

Extra curricular Clubs are often run that support children in developing their skills and interest in technology as well as Clubs that make use of app based software such as Mathletics or Spellodrome.
