Today Year 4 completed the final touch to the website that they created all about Julius Caesar. You can check it out by following the link below.
Today every child in the school had the opportunity to make new discoveries in the Explorer Dome. Children from FS1 to Y6 learned about different scientific aspects such as the planets, forces and light. What a fantastic time we had! Unfortunately we couldn’t take many photos in the dark so we have just added a few!
This afternoon Y5 & 6 opened their Egyptian Museum to parents. This was a well attended event which was thoroughly enjoyed by all (this may have been the food!). The children used the museum to show case their learning from their latest topic “Pharaoh”.
Year 5 & 6 cooked up a banquet fit for Egyptian royalty ready for the Egyptian museum afternoon with parents. Following detailed recipes the children created falafels, rice pudding, Egyptian salad, flat breads and koshari from scratch. They learned cookery skills, hygiene skills and how to work together in a team!
Year 2 had a wonderful day learning all about the honey bee. They learned about life-cycles, habitats and how important they are to the world. They also got to taste fresh honey and wear protective suits! What a great day they had.
Today some children in Y5 set up a blogging website linked to our Seesaw site. The blog is all about the work that children do whilst ‘Out & About’ at Ayi Nik and will be live very soon! Watch this space.
A fantastic 5-0 result saw a confident win against Dhekelia Primary School. All children that took part did themselves and the school proud. We were impressed with their passing skills, team spirit and passion for the sport. A big thank you goes t o Mrs Niblett (LSA) and Mr Niblett (dad) for running the after school club that supported the development of the children’s football skills!
What a fantastic morning we all had on the Station sports pitch for the Inter-house Sports Day 2019. This year Kyrenia Reds lifted the trophy for first place! Everyone tried their best in all the events and worked together as a team. Each class also took part in a 60m dash and we may have some future Olympic sprinters in our midst. A big thank you goes out to all those that helped organise this event both from school and from the Station.
Wow, what a fantastic day. The girls teams all did the school proud and showed their excellent football skills. Special mention goes to the Y3/4 team who came away with a trophy for winning their league!
Year 2 had a fantastic day of historical discovery at Kolossi Castle. They learned about the lives of people in the past and even acted out a battle with the swords that they designed and made in DT!
